About Me

Hello! My name is Ibrahim, and I am a senior Turkish medical student with aspirations of becoming a cardiologist. My journey in medicine has been driven by a dedication to improving heart health and advancing care for patients.

My Medical Journey

From high school, I have been committed to obtaining the best education possible, which has shaped my focus and determination to excel in my field. Currently, I am exploring opportunities to rotate in different medical hospitals to gain diverse perspectives on healthcare practices before selecting a residency program that aligns with my aspirations.

Areas of Interest

I have a deep interest in:

  • Cardiac Arrhythmia and Electrophysiology: Exploring procedures like RF/CB ablations and pacemaker insertions.
  • Interventional Cardiology: Merging precision with hands-on care to impact patients directly.

Leadership and Collaboration

I have gained significant experience as part of the ACC Medical Student Leadership Community, where we founded and led a Journal Club and spearheaded several impactful projects. Currently, I am organizing a multi-session Journal Club discussing the MASALA study and atherosclerotic risk enhancers—a fantastic opportunity to collaborate and dive into critical cardiovascular research topics.

Research and Future Aspirations

My goal is to contribute to advancing the field through innovative research while furthering my expertise in cardiac care.

Outside the Clinic

When I’m not immersed in medicine, I enjoy engaging with the medical community, staying updated on cutting-edge cardiology advancements, and mentoring fellow students.
